About Skyline

Our Vision

It is a vision to be a church that loves God faithfully, one another fully and is intentional about making disciples. We believe that experiencing and proclaiming Jesus Christ is a natural outflow of people that are faithfully Loving God and fully loving one another. Everything we say, do, teach, and profess is informed by these convictions.

Further, we want as many people as possible to be a part of the Skyline family and the activity of God unfolding throughout Eagle River, Chugiak, Anchorage, and beyond. Getting connected at Skyline is a process of entering to the life of our church through onramps that will help you Serve Jesus fully, Give of yourself, your time, your resources, and Grow in your relationship with God, one another, and community. We don’t have all the answers and are learning more about ourselves, one another, and Jesus along the way, but we love doing life together and stepping into the mysterious unknowns that bring about love, hope, and transformation.

Our History

Skyline Family Fellowship has been apart of Eagle River for over 30 years. Our first worship service was in 1985, and through that time we have met in a house, elementary school, and more until we settled into our current location.

What started as a church plant out of Anchorage Free Methodist church, Skyline Family Fellowship is led by Bryan Sallee, a committed leadership team, and group of faithful volunteers.

We believe a church is more than a building – it is defined by its people. Our Skyline family is known for their care for one another and how they value of building relationships.

We know the term ‘family’ has the potential to alienate or make some not feel welcome. Yet, we believe everyone has a desire to connect and be known. For us, family is a group of people from many different family, places, and spaces, yet brought through a common desire— faith in Jesus Christ. We would like to think that when you come to Skyline and begin to connect with our church family, a sense of belonging and home-ness will unfold. That you might even want to join the family.

Our Pastor

Pastor Bryan Sallee has the honor of being married to his best friend, Karen for the past 17+ years and a dad to three wonderful children. Bryan has been serving at Skyline since 2014 and has come to love and cherish ministry and life in Alaska. In his spare time you can find him at a local coffee shop, reading, journaling, or planning the next family adventure.

Something unique about Pastor Bryan is that he has lived in eight states, visited forty-seven states, in the union, and traveled to 10 countries…and counting.

But through it all, he says home is best experienced here in the Big AK!

We are part of a larger church family

Skyline is a local Free Methodist congregation; we are a part of the Pacific Northwest Conference, which is a region of the Free Methodist Church of North America.
